Alpine, a French brand with a rich sporting heritage, is entering the world of electric vehicles with its first all-electric sports crossover – Alpine A390. This model combines racing heritage with everyday practicality, putting it on a par with rivals such as the Porsche Macan Electric. The Alpine A390 is the brand’s most daring model yet – the first electric sports fastback with 3 motors, brutal acceleration and enough space for five passengers. The largest Alpine ever, but still with a racing soul.
Design: When sportiness meets elegance
The Alpine A390 boasts a dynamic fastback silhouette that combines sportiness and elegance. Measuring 4.62 meters long, 1.89 meters wide and 1.53 meters high, the A390 offers a spacious interior while maintaining compact dimensions for city driving. Features such as integrated rear door handles in the C-pillars and aerodynamic elements emphasize its sporty character.
Technology: Three motors for superior performance
Beneath its elegant exterior lies advanced technology. The A390 is available in several versions:
A390 GT: Three electric motors (one front, two rear) provide a total output of 396 hp and 650 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 4.8 seconds and the top speed is 200 km/h.
A390 GTS: An upgraded version with 463 hp and 808 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 220 km/h.
All versions are equipped with an 89 kWh battery, which provides a range of between 520 and 555 km according to the WLTP cycle.
Interior: A combination of sportiness and comfort
The interior of the A390 combines sportiness with modern technology. The digital instrument panel and 12-inch vertical touchscreen offer intuitive control, while Sabelt sports seats in Nappa leather provide comfort and support while driving. Another special feature is the “OVR” (Overtake) button on the steering wheel, which provides additional acceleration for overtaking.
Prices and availability
Pre-orders for the Alpine A390 will begin in November 2025, with first deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2026. Prices will start at around £60,000 (around €70,000) for the GT model and around £70,000 (around €81,000) for the GTS model.
